The Backrooms Unit: Liminal Horror, Atmosphere, & Visual Rhetoric

Designed and implemented a multi-day interdisciplinary ELA/media studies unit exploring liminal horror, visual rhetoric, psychological storytelling, and atmospheric writing through the lens of digital culture and contemporary internet aesthetics. Developed original slides, guided notes, scaffolded activities, creative writing exercises, multimedia analysis tasks, and culminating assessments focused on symbolism, subtext, mood, narrative perspective, and rhetorical analysis.
